The Orclings
A New Race Emerges in the South
With the war raging in the wider world, the shaman and matrons of the Mountain Kin-bands respond to the Khans wish for a more versatile soldier. The Orcs and goblins of the Khanate have their own strengths but they also have weaknesses that have caused problems with the war effort over the last year. To that end the Great Khan has ordered the creation of a new race from the spawning pits, a new creature that has the versatility of both races at the cost of the speciality of either orcs or goblins. These “Orclings” as they have come to be known are created with a fanatical loyalty to the Khan and are more humanoid in appearance than orcs or goblins. Their skin varies in colour from grey, brown or green and when they are pulled from the pits they are branded on the forehead with the red seal of the Great Khan.
Orclings do not have a homeland of their own. They are bred in the spawning pits of the Mountain Kin-bands to order from the Great Khan and any other warlord who has enough power of resources to acquire them. At this time the only Orclings that have been spawned are those with the brand of the Great Khan Kargun as it is only he who has the wealth and influence that allows him to have this new race fighting for him.
It is yet to be seen how the other Khanate races view this new created strain and they have yet to prove their worth on the battlefield. This is something that only time will tell...
