Human culture is varied across the Northern Alliance, since humans are both the most common and most dominant race found amongst the Northern Alliance regions. Physically, they are stronger and hardier than elves, whom as a race are dwindling, and the beastkin only appeared in the known world since the Days of Fire.
The Kingdom of Elland is the largest concentration of human culture and consists of three distinct regions: The Northern Fifes, The Middle Kingdom and The Southern Marches. Inspiration for the kingdom comes from knightly orders, the Court of King Arthur and heraldic ideals.
The Northlands are a cold and unforgiving place, inhabited by a very proud people. Northlands, Northlands Culture and Gods of the North are three links where in-depth information can be found. Inspiration for the Northlanders comes from Fjordmen, Viking Raiders and Mountain People in Middle Earth.
The Shieldlands is home to the majority of disposed refugees from the Republic, currently located in The Patrician Cities. The Barrens are a dangerous place for even the most prepared of warriors and The Sisters are two mercantile islands. The Red Isles are a nation of fervent religious traders who have established colonies on connected islands off to the West of the shores of The Theocracy. They have managed to scour the islands of any taint of elvish or magical nature and devote themselves to the researches of new technology. Read more about The Red Isles Culture.
The Theocracy, a nation devoted to The Divine Assembly, has a hugely varied Geography and climate.
